FAQ

How did MYWTM get started?

I got started on my quest to do everything there is to do at Disneyland when Kevin and I decided that this would be our last year for Annual Passes and I realized there were a lot of things I’d never done before, like riding the Main Street Vehicles. I decided to devote myself to doing all of those things that I’d blown off before in the year remaining. However, halfway through the project, I realized my goal had changed–it was no longer a quest to check off a list of everything at Disneyland. I realized I was really on a quest to find the source, the essence of Disneyland Magic. Thanks for joining me!

Do you go to Disneyland every day? How often do you update?

I don’t go to Disneyland every day. What with my other full-time jobs as being a full-time mom and grad student, I don’t have time. I also try to update as much as possible, usually at least a couple of times a week, but my other full-time jobs do come first. The best way to keep up is to subscribe to MYWTM and get updates in your inbox. Simply click on the “Subscribe Me, Baby” button on the right-hand column.

When does your year with the mouse end?

Technically in December, but I’ll continue blogging past then, so don’t run away ;) .

How do I get around this site?

The categories in the right-hand column and the search box in the upper right are the best ways to navigate through the site if you’re looking for something specific

What’s your favorite ride?

Oh, so many! Of the E-tickets, I have to go with Space Mountain, but Star Tours is really amazing too. In Tomorrowland (aside from those other two) it’s Autopia. In Fantasyland, It’s A Small World and Dumbo. Elsewhere, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and especially the Jungle Cruise.

What’s been the biggest surprise/best find so far?

I really had no idea how much roving entertainment there is at Disneyland. Slowing down and taking it easy has completely changed the way I visit the park. The best find was definitely riding the Lilly Belle. What a fabulous experience! I hope everyone gets an opportunity to do it. I was also completely surprised by what’s hiding behind the fruit cart on Main Street.

Love your blog! Have been quietly stalking it for a few month. The first day I stumbled across it I went back and read all of the previous posts till the original one. I live in west Anaheim, have a deluxe ap, a husband named Kevin and a 2 year old munchkin named Sophie. Would love to meet up at DL if you and theo ever need Disney buddies :-)
